Developing a Strategic Plan to Support the Growth of the Early Childhood Learning and Innovation Network for Communities (EC-LINC)
Summary
Challenge
In 2019, Root Cause partnered with The Early Childhood Learning and Innovation Network for Communities (EC-LINC) to develop a three-year strategic plan to strengthen and scale its network of early childhood communities across the United States.
EC-LINC wanted to identify its priorities over the next three years in order to grow the network’s positive impact on children, families, and the early childhood sector. Root Cause and EC-LINC also wanted to continue to strengthen EC-LINC’s financial sustainability.
Goals & Results
Through research, stakeholder interviews, and the facilitation of a collaborative strategic planning process, EC-LINC and Root Cause completed a three-year strategic plan for EC-LINC in August 2019.
The Priorities for EC-LINC were identified as:
- Transform practice and systems
- Integrate parent leadership
- Build evidence and narrative
- Advance policy
- Leverage partnerships for spread, and
- Grow EC-LINC members
