Andy joined Root Cause in 2018. His recent projects include work in strategic planning, workforce development, community engagement, and program landscape evaluation.
Andy’s previous work has focused primarily on homelessness, trauma-informed care, mental health, and organizational growth and capacity-building. Prior to Root Cause, Andy worked as a Steering Committee and staff member with Y2Y Harvard Square, where he helped to open and operate the nation’s first student-run shelter for young adults experiencing homelessness. During the summers of 2015 and 2016, Andy directed and worked as a case manager with the Harvard Square Summer Homeless Shelter, a separate transitional shelter serving adults of any age experiencing homelessness.
Andy has also served as a Priscilla Chan STRIDE Fellow with the Phillips Brooks House Association, through which he trained aspiring undergraduate public service leaders in program management, and as a peer counselor, through which he provided nondirective and nonjudgmental mental health counseling to fellow undergraduates. He holds a B.A. in Government from Harvard College.
