Staff Spotlight: Welcome Simona Ruderman!
Simona Ruderman (she/her) | Marketing & Communications Co-op
University and class year: Northeastern University, second-year undergraduate student
What was your path to Root Cause?
I am excited to work at Root Cause for my first co-op. In my late high school years, I had an internship for an NGO focused on supporting human trafficking victims. In this experience, I found a passion for social issues. When looking for a co-op, I was drawn to Root Cause because of its mission to drive social change.
Why did you apply for this internship (social impact consulting/marketing + comms)? What are your professional goals?
In my co-op search, I was looking for a company with a meaningful mission while incorporating my interest in social issues and graphic design. Root Cause stood out to me as a role where I could make an impact with tangible work. I applied to be the Marketing and Communications co-op because of the opportunity it presents to develop my skills and expand my knowledge.
As for my professional goals, I want to work in the realm of politics, seamlessly incorporating graphic design while making a lasting impact on social issues. I plan to apply the knowledge and experience I gain from Root Cause in my future career endeavors.
