April 2023 Newsletter

Erin Rodriguez
April 19, 2023

Root Cause was in community with hundreds of other practitioners who work to advance educational access and equity at the recent NPEA Conference in Boston from April 12-14! Colette Stanzler and Lucas Orwig discussed their work with Boston Public Schools to strengthen college and career readiness pathways while Sonja Okun and Jamie Hennick shared how collaboration among Cambridge and Somerville Public Schools, the Biogen Foundation, and STEM out-of-school-time programs has advanced STEM educational equity.

Over the course of the three-day conference, we met with friends old and new, learned from one another, and discussed how schools, nonprofits, foundations, corporations, and other partners can work together to improve educational services and supports for all students. For those who were unable to attend the conference, you can check out our presentation materials here.
