Julie’s areas of expertise include strategic business planning, scaling impact, building sustainable business models, and measuring and demonstrating results. She has consulted to dozens of organizations, primarily in the nonprofit and government sector. She is particularly interested in early childhood and community child health, from infancy through adolescence and into young adulthood.
Julie has played a leadership role in Root Cause’s growth and development since the organization started, and has steered all aspects of service delivery operations, including financial management, staffing, service quality management, talent development, technology, and general operations.
Julie has over 20 years of experience as a consultant, a program director, and a clinical social worker. Prior to joining Root Cause, she provided counseling and case management services for youth at-risk for dropping out of school, worked with pregnant and parenting teens in state custody, provided HIV-testing and prevention counseling, started and led an after-school program for middle school youth, and served as a clinical social work fellow in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital.
